old school random.....

i feel good today.  less worried about stuff.  i'm enjoying spring, bought some sandals that will certainly cause me to break my neck, and am getting excited to go to nashville in a few weeks.

how's that for a run-on sentence?

i went to p.f. chang's for lunch and my friend was late, so i took a bunch of photos of the weird horse statue.  a few of the waiters looked at me like i was nuts.  especially when i took a photo of the horse's bum.  i'll include pics in this post.

work has been good.  i like my job and the project i've been working on went out to the world without any major hitches.

i know my blog has become boring, but i don't care.  i'm blogging out of spite.

and now for some awesome quotes about random stuff.....

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."  Hunter S. Thompson

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”   Helen Keller

“One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.”  Helen Keller

"Hope is the thing with feathers —That perches in the soul" Emily Dickenson

"We are all atheists about most of the gods that societies have ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further."   Richard Dawkins

"People will then often say, 'But surely it's better to remain an Agnostic just in case?' This, to me, suggests such a level of silliness and muddle that I usually edge out of the conversation rather than get sucked into it. (If it turns out that I've been wrong all along, and there is in fact a god, and if it further turned out that this kind of legalistic, cross-your-fingers-behind-your-back impressed him, then I think I would choose not to worship him anyway.)"  Douglas Adams, interview with The American Atheist (in The Salmon of Doubt)

"I'm never going to accomplish anything; that's perfectly clear to me. I'm never going to be famous. My name will never be writ large on the roster of Those Who Do Things. I don't do anything. Not one single thing. I used to bite my nails, but I don't even do that any more."  Dorothy Parker

"It's a strange world. Some people get rich and others eat shit and die."  Hunter S. Thompson
