one of my favorite things on a lazy weekend is to come upon a "new" old movie, one i've never seen. a pleasant surprise, especially when it's a film i didn't know existed. this weekend we stumbled up "a thousand clowns" on TCM. i think guest host dennis miller selected this one, and it makes sense. the movie is fast-paced, with quick editing and tons of obscure cultural references. it feels a but jaded, but buried deep inside this movie is a sentimental heart.
instead of my blabbering about it, watch my favorite scene. jason robards is my new favorite old actor.
