i am fighting off a real nasty little funk. the depression is nipping at my heels. how can i be feeling like this when things are so good in my life??? i have an amazing husband who makes me happy in so many ways. my family are all healthy & happy, and my job is ok. i guess the brain chemicals that cause "the blahs" don't care.
my recipe to fight the ennui: start by cutting out the booze (easier said then done.) try adding an herbal supplement (st. john's wart) and get a little exercise (which is kyrptonite to my super-depressed-girl.) i am going to this website to giggle at kittens and hedgehogs! also, i'll use some of those CBT tools i learned a few years back.
speaking of recipes, i am now online trying to find out KFC's secret recipe. (click that link, it's hilarious. i am giggling and feeling better already!)
also, i am trying to find out if wilford brimely supports cock fighting. his wikipedia says he does, but you know how wiki can be incorrect. and yeah, i just logged on to his wiki page, and all it says is "Diabeetus" over and over again. hahahahaha! those wacky kids and their internet hacking!
i've been thinking a lot about what bothers me so much about sarah palin, why i get such a bad vibe about her. she's seems so smug, without anything to back it up. she hasn't done anything really amazing. she just seems to have gotten into a position of power by using her good looks and brute force. she seems to have no sense of humor or warmth. i am reminded of what old HST once said about nixon.....
"Richard Nixon has never been one of my favorite people anyway. For years I've regarded his existence as a monument to all the rancid genes and broken chromosomes that corrupt the possibilities of the American Dream; he was a foul caricature of himself, a man with no soul, no inner convictions, with the integrity of a hyena and the style of a poison toad. The Nixon I remembered was absolutely humorless; I couldn't imagine him laughing at anything except maybe a paraplegic who wanted to vote Democratic but couldn't quite reach the lever on the voting machine. Pageant (July 1968)"
switch out the names and references to having the style of a poison toad, and you've got a match!
