i wrote about work lingo a while back, and have found a wikipedia entry for it as well. consultantese is the name for the BS talk and sadly i have heard most of these phrases. today we had a powerpoint presentation with chevrons!

and now i have to take a test called "respect in the workplace", all about what is appropriate. i flunked it last year and had to take it twice. he he he....

the test will answer these burning questions:

• Are employees allowed to display in the workplace materials demonstrating their religious beliefs? (does my cartman doll count?)


• Do harassment rules apply at firm-sponsored parties or off-site events? (can i sue for forced kareoke? last office party they tried to sign me up to sing "barbie girl" and i narrowly escaped.)


• When is a hug or a shoulder rub appropriate in the workplace? (NEVER!!!!)

we recently acquired our 3rd gnome and are deciding on a name. help us come up with something good and win a *prize!

also, i am looking for suggestion in naming the new gnome. the blue one out in the yard is named gneorge (the n is silent. obviously.) the tiny gnome in the planter in the nook is named mr. paddy cakes. so what to name the new one? i'll have to upload a pic of him when i get home.

and finally, any good ideas on where me and that boy i dig (groundcat) can go on vacation? we're off fri-mon and looking for a short roadtrip, maybe 1 or 2 nights away. NOT bonnaroo!
