as predicted, i broke this xmas gift within 5 minutes of getting home and taking it out of the package. thank god for super glue.....

then i decided to try out the fancy new espresso maker and grinder....

i made a kickass latte, just had lots to clean up when i was done.

people seem to love or hate christmas. i am one who can take it or leave it. but i do love this quote (definetly anti-xmas!)

on the pro-christmas side, i can watch the peanuts xmas special (even with all the bible quotes) and feel all happy and warm inside.

here's my take on the holidays: don't have huge expectations or expect things to be perfect, try to be patient and kind (even if others are not), don't drive like a rude idiot, and calm down enough to enjoy time with friends and family.

look, one of the deer out back came so close to the bedroom window! i get so excited when i see the deer. the tiptoe around and when they see you, they stop and stare, like aliens. i believe copaX was the one to point out that when i see deer, i act like i am seeing a unicorn. but they are magical! and one day i'll befriend a deer and pet it! groundcat says i will probably get mauled or kicked in the teeth (or fleas) but he's promised to video tape the whole thing for youtube. how sweet!

i don't know what the hell it's supposed to do! it gets a static fake radio sound, then if i twist an ear it makes an annoying disco beat. (maybe this will be groundcat's christmas gift since he doesn't read my blog daily!)

speaking of blogs, i've noticed they are pretty dead lately. glittermom hasn't blogged in like 2 months. and when someone does blog, there's not much response or comments. i know some folks read and never comment. but it really does make a difference!

i decided to stay at my current job and turn down the job offer at the new place. so no working only 40 hours per week, wearing jeans to work, or working with a dog in the office! why would i choose to stay at a job that i've been bitching about for months? a job that requires i work on saturdays? why?

well, it's not just the money, although i am getting a raise to stay. it's the fact that i really like my coworkers, and even my evil boss. and i am going to get to start doing the work that i really enjoy soon. i am kind of excited to stay on this project for another year and see it go out into the world.

i know there will be days i regret this decision, like those saturdays when i have to drag myself in, but i feel good about the decision and hope it was the right one. thanks to everyone for listening to me, giving me advice and being all supportive and stuff.

my blog is boring, but others are hopping with excitement. my old columbus pal's lisa ann & stacy are having adventures with snow and new apartments, and groundcat updated his blog twice in one day! he's even got a new video posted. good stuff. maybe jennette & mike will have pics of the new place up soon. and skullranch has an interesting tribute.

as for me, i am taking the weekend to decide on my career path. it's weird, i actually have a "career", although i'm not sure how that happened. i'll give someone a crisp dollar bill if they can tell me what a QA Analyst actually is!
