these are pics from the wedding day, our hotel, and eating bob's big boy on the ride home.
we never figured out what VH1 was casting for at the hotel. i'm thinking they were looking for girls for flavor flav or bret michaels. yuk!
i got new glasses and they kick ass.
the little round carrots blew my mind. how do they grow them???
the hotel was fancy, but kind of gross. it just didn't seem clean. weird glass block walls and ugly paintings in the lobby. but great view.
the wedding rehearsal dinner was fun and we became known as "the couple who got lost" because i was on the phone doing a job interview. someone's aunt & uncle ended up in canada on the wedding day, so we lost our title.
dan was off being best man so i had to spend a few hours on my own. i met some cool people before the ceremony, and sat with some great folks for dinner. they were all around my age and sort of "hipsters" and artsy-fartsy types. one gal actually produces the "mortified" show in DC!
the bride looked great and behaved very un-bridezilla. smitty was cracking jokes and calm during it all. grosse pointe is super fancy pants. detroit is not. all very interesting if only for the people watching.
ok, that's the end of our detroit adventure.
