serious blog post, moved from now dead serious blog

posted earlier this morning 1/22/08...

(me and dan, acting goofy 20 minutes before the tv crew arrived...)

i don't have enough time to explain to everyone how it all went yesterday, so here's an email i just sent my sister. consider this my "lazy" blog post.

jennette,

gosh, i wish you could go online at work! i have a photo up of monica robins on our computer, answering a comment david made on my blog! isn't that bananas? i think they are going to link my blog on the WKYC website once my story airs.

it went really well, except dan pulled his back out 20 minutes before they arrived. and how did he do this? we were goofing around with photobooth, make a little movie with cool new effects. we were both moving and twisting around, and he pulled his back out!

only one of us could injure ourselves playing around with an imac!

so he was in terrible pain and trying to keep the dogs out of the way. he ended up not on camera much. he felt bad about it, but it's not a big deal. he ends up on my blog enough to make up for it.

monica is really funny & down to earth. the camera guy (can't remember his name) was also very sweet. they definetly made it easy.

the interview was hard. we sat in hard chairs with bright lights and she asked me difficult and embarassing questions. but i think i handled it well and she seemed happy with it.

then they filmed me making a salad. i actually got so nervous, i forgot how to make a damn salad! the camera guy got a close up of me chopping up veggies. monica watched the playback and yelled at me for not painting my nails! hahahahaha! i had on green chipped polish. i told her it was part of "my look" and she cracked up.

they were there about 2 hours. it was incredibly scary, stressful, and difficult at times, but also fun in some very weird way.

it's hard to blog about stuff, knowing it could end up being much more public, being linked on a news station website. also, i don't want to offend monica.

i've never censored myself before, and i don't want to now. i'll have to try my best to be honest and hope i don't offend a news reporter who is doing a good thing by helping me tell my story.

photos posted here.
