I do not see the airdale. Griffin looks like a very watered down rott. Maybe, instead of breeding them for guard dogs, they took the least vicious and least trainable traits, and bred them, for no apparent reason, to produce Griffin. Or, maybe someone bred a white mutt and a rott, and a small bit of stupid and annoying.
I think Griffin is a fabulous dog. He barks 90% less than my little furball does. But just analytically looking at it, I can sorta see the facial features of the rottweiler and maybe body, but I definately don't see the airdale in him at all.

I think an Airedale Terrier bit once. Them dogs sure do like to bite me.

That dogs getting a bum rap....He's very loving....even if he's not real smart...
