this song/ medley has been featured in a few films and tv shows. i first heard it on the wizard of oz episode of scrubs, and it made me ball my eyes out.

the artist who did the song is Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, and he passed almost a decade ago due to weight-related illness. he has the sweetest, most beautiful voice. it's sad to read the comments on youtube, where some folks are doing nothing but commenting on his weight. close your eyes and listen to the song and it's magical, who cares what he looked like on the outside?

here's the scrubs version that steals from the original (but is still good stuff):

david blog post....

i am going to post the last 2 things renny sent me in emails. the first is a catholic saint medal he made of my sister. i saw this last night after having a horrible, rotten day and it made me laugh. same with dan. he got home so last and very exhausted, but when he saw this he cracked up.

the video below is one david sent me 3 different times before i'd even watch it. i hate it. enjoy.

more random huckabuck and lots of nice pics....

i am not the best cook, but saturday took the cake (so to speak.) i somehow managed to hit myself in the face with soup. only i could manage such a feat, and maybe when i am not so exhausted i will tell you how. for now just know that i am the clumsy girl in the world....

also: check out some of the blogs i have linked. b-hax bossed me to add him back (or at least sulked and pouted quite a bit.) lisa ann, stacy and my sister have been updating quite often, and i am waiting for copax to add some pics from halloween. groundcat has some funny and unflattering slideshows up that i also boss you to see. i may have bossed about this a few days ago, but i am too tired to remember or go back and check.

oh the sights i see........

at work today, in the arcade section of my building, i saw a man who took my breath away. he had a member's only jacket, aviator glasses and a man perm. it was like seeing a shooting star!!!

and finally: thanks to becca!!!

she added dixie to the yahoo online time capsule! so now dixie has been on the local news (more then once), the internet (my blog and other sites) and now a time capsule. kick ass!!! dixie was a magical dog who touched everyone she met. she totally deserves a place in a time capsule!
