some stuff that happened

we had the afternoon to run errands. stopped at the library and decided on downtown willoughby for lunch. we went to the willoughby brewing company, where we went on our first date. then i stopped by my crazy hairdresser/beekeeper friend michael's to get the back trimmed up. i told him about us getting hitched and he said, "you have to go next door & see bill! he's a jeweler and he's a really nice guy."

he didn't have many wedding bands. he got out a catalog & took our rings sizes and showed us examples. i noticed a ring that was exactly what i had imagined. very simple, white gold. i tried it on, perfect fit. i giggled. dan asked about a really neat tungsten ring with brushed finished. he put it on, perfect fit. he laughed and said, "let's get them!" so we got them.

we're wearing them now. it might be against the wedding rules. we looked it up online and there really wasn't anything about it, so i guess we're wearing his & her "engagement bands." i think we invented a new tradition!

here's pics from dan's grandma's house. happy birthday nancy!

there was HUGE dragonfly and ginny read a book about symbolism. i think dragonflies represent change and light. the thing scared me!
