mojito libre (secret former coworker friend) was asking about the bubbleman in the post from earlier today. like i said in the comments, no one knows where bubbleman came from. but here's a photo of bubbleman's girlfriend that groundcat found a while back! something to consider for mrs. libre's halloween costume.... 
i was looking for a nice email card to send to my mom on her bday and ended up on someecards.com. it's good stuff!!!!!
and finally, i've learned the actual name of the architecture i love. googie architecture is the modern, space-age stuff from the 50's-60's that's i've always liked. there's a news story about a denny's in seattle that folks want to tear down.
