kenny tarmac needs his own website already! i feel bad, like i should have more info on kenny. i'm sure he's at ATL screaming into his cell phone and booking webinars, but otherwise, this blog is pretty kenny tarmac-free... also, i still say chick mcgee is the funniest person on radio EVER. i miss rover in the mornings.....

in other news: we're officially booked for vegas. june 16th-20th. we're flying continental and no layovers (thank god.) we're staying at the hilton and the place is huge! besides a gigantic casino, there are 15 restaurants, a spa, an 8 acre rooftop recreation deck, a star trek enterprise replica, barry manilow, and a ventriloquest!!! and i want to see the little legends.

i've been cooking new stuff recently. i got a lovely new crockpot with 3 different inserts and made a lemon-rosemary chicken with paprika. last night i made lasagna and it wasn't 1/2 bad. groundcat even helped with the cooking! i'll have pics to post when i get home.

more movie reviews: we've been watching more movies, including "aliens" and "jacob's ladder." i've never actually seen aliens, although i remember my dad loving it. and i learned a new term! it came out in 1979 and it holds up really well. i need to see it on DVD widescreen, so i can see all the disgusting milky stuff and slobber. jacob's ladder is a film renny was obsessed with when it came out and it took me about 10 years to finally see it (back in 2003). it's definetly as 'trippy' as i remember it, but also really quite sad. the scenes with his wife and dead son are obviously sad as hell, but i found myself crying at the battle scene when one of the guys just sits down and cries. the actor (pruit taylor vince) is one groundcat blogged about about a month before we met. the film "heavy" is another groundcat recommendation that i loved. quite sad bastard.

"oh my god" news: the new vanity fair features sarah silverman, tina fey and amy sedaris (smoking in a fake pregnant belly.) i'm so damn excited!!!

in other news again: no one cares what i had for lunch, or breakfast i suppose, but it's my blog! today i had olives and a cup of coffee for breakfast. i got some weird looks at work.

also: photobucket has some cool new editing effects!!!! i'll upload some random pics, including the rotten dolls still in the well, the toaster i cleaned, and the glass candle holder that is now broken....

I have seen that ventriloquest on the show America's Got Talent. He won it. He's amazing! You are going to have a blast in Vegas! It sounds like you won't be on the main strip. I've been to the Star Trek replica and that's down on the old strip... Make sure you take the CAT bus to the other hotels. Be prepared for lots of walking!

I'm heading there the first weekend in May for a friend's bachelor party. I haven't been there in about 6 or 7 years. I just remember A LOT of alcohol. No sleep. A LOT of gambling. A lot of winning, too.

Where else in the country can you get up at 8am on a sunday and go "If only there was a place that sold Heinekens and Jumbo Hot Dogs for 2 bucks right now. That would hit the spot. Oh, that place across the street that looks like it is named '$2 Dollar Heineken and 1/4 pound Hot Dog' Bar probably does."

I do believe I was hammered and full by 9:00 AM on a Sunday morning.

copax- i know. amy sedaris is inside the mag, not the cover. she SHOULD have been on the cover though!

mojito- i fully expected that kind of recommendation from you! LOL!

i belive the hilton hotel is the one with the star trek thing. i'm sure that's why you guys picked it! ha!
also, i hope kelly fucks you up for messing with her pic.

I also recommend the Power Tower on the top of the Stratosphere. Nothing says insane like going up 120 stories to the roof of a building and saying "I think I'm going to strap myself into that thing that takes me up another 200 feet just so it can drop me back down".

/I also recommend getting shnockered prior to this as it is a little traumatic.

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get set up? I'm assuming having a blog like
yours would cost a pretty penny? I'm not very web savvy so I'm not 100% certain. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I've been browsing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
