dan dug around on his computer and found the screenshots from both of our ads on match.com, including our first messages to each other. isn't his pic cute??? mine unfortunately chronicles my failed experiement in cutting my own bangs. thankfully that didn't scare him away. i think we need to do a commercial as a "success story" for the online dating website. we could talk about how we had a shared love of old dogs, tom waits, brian peppers and monkeys playing cymbals. i'll have a gew beers and play "iron man" and dan will take an ambien and talk about his colonoscopy (see groundcat's youtube collection, it's good stuff!)
and as far as daily life stuff goes: i am overwhelmed! i have been promoted to "QA lead" of my team and all of a sudden my work load and tripled! i can't even blog or wiki on the clock lately! our lawn mower is about 20 years old and dying. so we're headed to john deere this weekend. does they make riding mowers in pink? my mom's computer is dead (gonna give her my laptop)and she's in the process of tearing down the pool. cleo has a vet appointment to have her teeth cleaned, i have a tattoo appointment, and the start of a little vacation next week! i also need to schedule blood work, a hair appointmnet and i want to get my teeth whitened with that "zoom" business! oh.....so overwhelmed.... but in a good way if that makes sense.
and finally, in closing..... i love that GD mcdonald's mcgriddle. the wiki uses words like "injection" and "embossed", which doesn't sound so good. and i know i am always bitching about people mixing meat and fruit (grapes in chicken salad, pineapple on ham, etc...) this sort of falls under that category (bacon or sausage and a maple syrup flavor.) but i tried it and i love the damn thing! i like the bacon version and the sausage too, and i love the injected and embossed bun. that and an order of cheesy tots from BK (and a giant iced latte from starbucks) would be the best breakfast of all time!!!!

HOLY BEJEEBUS! I haven't seen a Cymbal Monkey for sooo long. I about had an anxiety attack when I clicked the link. My dad used to sit one of those in my bedroom doorway, when I was 2 or 3, and tell me I couldn't come out unless I walked past it. I was terrified of those things...hehehe, thanks for that :)

I too like to do stupid stuff like go to nail salons and mix the sweets and the savories.
T grew up strictly against mixing the sweets and savories, and I still draw the line at ham with pineapple, but brown sugar glaze is a go.
Maybe it's because we're old. I predict any day we'll have cottage cheese and fruitin our shooping carts, (shiver) next to one another.
