we had tons of deer out back, and i continue in my role of "deer paparazzi"
i made a huge amount of some low fat, low sodium "creamy chicken & vegetables" recipe i found online. blech. it sounded good, but ended up tasting like crap. but we've got about 4 pounds of this slop, so if anyone wants some, come on over!
there was a ton of cleanup after this crock pot disaster. cleo loves to watch me wash dishes and grumble at me. she grumbles to go outside. but she only does this when i do the dishes. even if i ask her if she wants to go out before i wash them, she won't. but as soon as i start washing, she comes in and watches me, and starts grumbling.
i got a new little dumb toy at the grocery store. it brings me endless joy. while dan spent friday evening watching people being tasered on youtube (don't ask), i sat at the table and did this. not much better then watching taser videos i suppose.....
oh yeah, i got a new car!!!!!!!
i got a loan, not a lease. it's in my name and i feel like a real grownup. harry was real nice and gave me a good deal. i did my homework and we agreed on a price. i got him to throw in an ipod converter player thing! i got the color i want too. it's more orange then it looks in these photos. it gets really decent reviews and i did my research. it's also been referred to as "oddly cute" & "stocky and squat". it seems like the perfect car for a stocky and squat, oddly cute girl! (that could have been my personal ad on match.com!)
my favorite thing is the little side peep-hole windows in the front and back. it gets high marks for being the least expensive AWD vehicle, good safety marks, excellent warrant, etc... i has a shift to go into 2WD for better mileage on drive pavement and.... ok, enough talking about my new car. for now!!!!

You sould have got a Subaru. Now you have a 4 cylinder!!!
i wanted a 4 cylinder for better mileage, duh!
subaru had the better lease program, but the loan options sucked. and the suzuki got better reviews for the all over value for price.
:)
that duck is a damn ventriloquist..His beak didn't move...
those little windows are the newer version of the old timey wing windows that use to open out...
I don't think I've ever seen that car on the road before...what is it?
congrats on the new ride!
click the decent reviews link to read about my swell new car!
it's a suzuki SX4 crossover. a weird little sub compact suv, station wagony thing.
:)
dan just told rachel i bought a pinto!
here's a definition of a crossover vehicle:
The "crossover" vehicle is one of the hottest crazes sweeping the rapidly changing world of automobiles.
But most people don't know what they are or what they're crossing over from or to.
That's because crossovers are hard to pigeonhole. They take the best of both worlds and appeal to a cross-section of buyers who want the benefits of both cars and SUVs.
There's no strict definition of crossover vehicles, say industry experts. Some don't even like to use the term at all.
"We don't call them crossover. We call them car-based SUVs, because that's what they are," says Gabriel Shenhar, senior auto testing engineer for Consumer Reports magazine. "These are vehicles that are usually derived from passenger cars, not trucks."
These vehicles differ from conventional sport utilities in that they have fully independent suspension, giving them better handling and steadiness on the roads. They're perfect for people who don't need to carry heavy cargo or drive over rough terrain, since they're certainly not designed for off-road driving.
"They're easier to get in and out of, and are more refined because they use passenger car power trains," says Shenhar. They are quieter, lighter and more aerodynamic. They provide a smoother ride and usually get better fuel mileage. They have better brakes than a heavier, truck-based SUV, yet they have the cargo versatility of SUVs.
The result? They are better suited for highways and city streets -- the kind of driving most SUVs are used for.
Safety is another important advantage: They are less prone to rollover because they are lower to the ground.
can't wait to go for a ride
It's very cute! But I think you could have saved a ton of typing by just saying,
Crossover= AWD Station Wagon.
Hahahahahahahaha!!!
Congrats. Nothing finer than getting a new car.
SDS- hahahahaha! yes, after i cut & pasted all that, i thought, "couldn't i have just said a little station wagon w/AWD?"
