oh my gosh, the wrist brace thing feels amazing! i bought it, but saved the receipt and thought it wouldn't do much. i put it on this morning at work and was shocked at how great it felt. too bad it doesn't come in pink. speaking of pink, here's me as an M&M.
As your personal orthotist, may I recommend, after the first few days, wearing it primarily while sleeping? Also, don't get it too snug and if your wrist begins to feel tired or achy, take it off for a while - no need taxing the muscles, too. Also, if you curl your wrists up all fetal-like while sleeping or sleep with your arms over your head, you'll want to stop doing those things as they decrease circulation and increase the impingement that is causing the pain problems.

ReplyDeletei didn't realize i was curling my wrists up in my sleep until recently. i was laying on my left side and waking up with the right wrist asleep. huh??? i finally realized it was the "fetal-like" way i curl my wrists in. weird!

Nothing will help your bowling game...Is this a self diagnosed ailment? I had the same pain in my wrist and thumb and it wasn't carpal tunnel...it was something completely the opposite...So there Dr Glitter....
