stuff and links

i just got a sheet of these new eames postage stamps and they are beautiful! how can i actually use them on letters? i need to buy a 2nd sheet to frame. yes! if you don't know who charles & ray eames were, it's worth your time to check them out. they made some of the most beautiful furniture in the 50's- 60's, as well as amazing films, and they had a huge influence on modern architecure. if i was super rich, i'd have a whole house full of eames designs.

the weekend wrap up:

the weekend went by way too fast, as usual. but we had a good time with friends, dogs, and groundcat got into a pool for the first time in almost 20 years! (too bad it was raining. groundcat was a real trooper though, and got right in. of course being allowed to bring beer in the pool may have helped. he he he...)

here are some stills from the amazing creation of "war of jacks", or whatever the hell the boys were calling this dumb game they invented. all i know is that it involved groundcat's wedding band, golden monkey beer, and lots of yelling & laughing.

here's a video of band practice after the "spin the ring into crap" game.

also:
drunk history is hysterical! this reminds me of my red wine drinking days, only much funnier.
