rainy days & random mondays always bring me down....

i read this news story this morning and just shook my head and said, "no, no, NO!!!!" yuk. blech!



my new favorite snack: fig newton fruit crisps. holy crap, these things are good! and supposedly a healthy snack. i worry that because i actually like them, there must be something wrong with them. they probably cause lab rats to grow hideous tumors, or women in their late 30's to gain copious amounts of weight. but they sure are yummy!

we watched "lars and the real girl" this weekend and loved it. it was lovely, sad and sweet. there's a scene where lars (ryan gosling) is in a tree house, singing, that blew me away. and look, i found it on youtube!!!

    btw, you're welcome for my recommending Lars to you and actually buying you a copy of it. I understand that you wanted me to blog about it, but I hadn't gotten around to it and wanted to watch it again before talking about it. But it's cool, don't give me credit for helping you find such a really good movie :)

    I love Lars!! I love Ryan and that scene is just the best.

    I could have lived the rest of my life without knowing about fish pedicures, but now I'm slightly intriqued by the idea.

    Well, class. You see, there are only a finite amount of names that can be doled out before people start having the same names. That is, of course, until momos out there start naming their kids after products...Milton Bradley anyone?

    I'm still waiting for someone to name their twin girls Lexxus and Nexxus. (isn't there a hair product named that?)
