top o' the muffin to ya!

i am officially a semi-responsible grown up: instead of buying new living room furniture, i took the money i've been saving and paid off my student loan, in full. hell yeah! we can live with our old couch another year, and "the man" won't be getting interest on my ancient student loan.
i celebrated this adult-like decision by going out on my lunch break and buying a lemon yellow michael kors handbag. ya gotta call it a "handbag" and not a purse when you wanna be fancypants!!! duh.

in other news: i found out that there's a name for the condition that makes it so hard for me to find jeans that fit. i am reminded of a seinfeld episode....

jordan almonds kick ass.

good news: mullet removal is scheduled for tonight. hopefully my hairdresser/ bee keeper can get me back to the mullet-free life i once led.

i've noticed people staring at me when i'm driving. i thought maybe i'd become a bad driver in my old age. then i realized i am driving a weird little orange car that folks don't normally see on the road. so now i feel like i should have on makeup and a nice outfit when i drive! no more running errands with bed head and PJs still on? that's BS!

i'm gonna upload pics from the last few days. besides the new handbag, i got a nice mug at starbucks, and discovered sugar free rice pudding jello that is real good. blah blah blah.... i;m cranky after spending almost 2 hours prepping, cooking, & cleaning all for a dinner that sucked. i made meatloaf for the first time and too many onions f'ed it up. i get crabby when i put time into some new recipe and it sucks. BUT i'm going to make it again without the rotten onions and it will be awesome!!!!!

good lord, i'm "hard typing" and cranky over a meatloaf? i think it's PMS and i need to go chill. a nice diet vernor's a some bad friday night tv with groundcat will do the trick. he he he....

  2. Karen,

That IS a darlng pocketbook, as Sticky calls it.

You with your lumpy pudding and things that violate the sweet/savory division bylaw- UGH! Tapioca Pusher!

Now Vernors'- that's what I'm talking about.

PS Yesterday I was at the coffee machine & I work tucked away in an office and most people have no idea what an idiot I am. I forgot where I was, took a long sip of hot black coffee and in the Napoleon Dynamite Voice said, "Now that's what I'm talking about," into my cup.

I advise you not do this at the new job.

  3. 14" by 10", that's what groundcat muttered as he passed by the new purse and i asked him for the measurments.

i'd say it's smaller then a bowling ball bag, but bigger then a bread box.

what size is a breadbox anyways?

p.s. it's far too late for me to pretend to be normal at the new job. i've already been to lunch with my boss and photographed the matzo ball soup. and yesterday, my boss was training me on some complicated test process, and when it worked and the test data populated into the software, i made a sound effect. something like, "pow!"

she couldn't stop laughing and as she walked away she said that was the first time in all her 20+ years in the field that she'd heard a QA analyst with sound effects.

to which i said , "POW!!!!"

  5. ginny, i've heard that in paris this fashion season, breast milk baby poop is all the rage.

  6. no. the new black is myconeum (sp?).

If breast milk baby poop's the new fashion color, then I was way ahead of the curve last year. Mojito Jr. made sure I had a splash of color whenever I went out.

I'm going to adopt your sound effect when I get my data sheet to import properly this week. POW!
