another WLS post
first off, "WLS" is short for weightloss surgery, or gastric bypass. (or stomach stapling if you're stuck in the 70's.) i'm going to start adding a label on any posts concerning WLS so, after my story airs, new folks coming to the blog to read more about this topic can have an easy way to find posts.
this is all your fault! you, the ones who bitched about me trying to have a serious blog aside from this one!!! (LOL)
i've emailed a few old friends who i met while going through the process of having the surgery. sadly, most ended up struggling as much as i did. it makes me feel even better about doing the story. i originally wanted to tell my story so that people having the surgery had a real face to put on the rumors of people gaining the weight back. i wanted to help those folks avoid the pitfalls.
now, i think telling my incredibly embarassing story on the nightly news is worth it, just so the people who ended up like me (and there are so many of them) can stop feeling so guilty. we all tried our best! no one set out to have dangerous, painful surgery to lose weight and then gain it back. there are reasons so many of us had these bad experiences....
anyways, i'm working on labeling posts. otherwise i am happy with how the blog is looking these days....
maybe i'll upload my "before and after photos" later on....

I don't have any really scarry medical stories... well other than the time the doctor tried to stick his finger in my... um... I prefer not to talk about that... Well would you like to talk about things being stuck up your nose!!!
it made telling my story on camera a little easier, knowing i have friends and family who care, and who don't judge me.

No need to feel bad about that! Who wants to be a skinny little mini with ravioli eyes anyway?
