old friends

i've recently realized how lucky i am to have so many wonderful friends, some of them i've know for over 20 years! i've known mark since 1984 and he's one of my closest friends, more like family.

here's us at my high school graduation in 1988 and us now. check out the matching stripes!

it's been almost 20 years since that photo was taken, so please be kind in the comments! (i think we've both aged quite nicely...)

mark's brother called his hat & scarf his "oliver twist look", so dan decided to join in! and yeah, mark is still tall as hell!!!

so i guess today, being thanksgiving and all, is a day for me to be thankful for old and new friends. i will continue introducing old pals over the next few weeks, like eva, T, lisa r., and sladjana. i'm gonna fire up the scanner and see what old photos i can find.

  1. Old friends are like a fine wine...The older they get the better they are...I probably didn't make that up...

I'm dying to know who the mysterious T is!

  5. GG, yeah, you listened to the Cure and the Smiths, right. Keep the facade going. We know you're favorite films of that time were Urban Cowboy, Rhinestone, and Six Pack. You can't fool us.

/If TIVO existed back then, the hard drive would've been jammed with Hee Haw episodes.
