very random ramble.....

i'm down with OCD (yeah you know me!) so i'm sitting here at my desk, sorting my buttermilk ranch chicken salad like i always do on mondays.... and a coworker notices. i try to explain how i like to pick out the red items (tomato and red pepper) and set them aside, then the corn (yellow item) is sorted into a corner, leaving the lettuce (green item) and chicken. being "out of the closet" with OCD is interesting. for me, being able to laugh helps.

also, being nice at work doesn't pay off. i am always bringing in candy for everyone, and besides no one saying "thanks", i get complaints! "why is there all this gum? where's the choclate???" i brought in some fancypants coffee creamer and left it on the counter to share (since i could never finish it all on my own.) within 1 day it was gone. i'd like to not assume it was stolen, and that maybe someone just put it in some drawer or shelf where i can't find it. why do i keep doing the "nice stuff"? i think it's out of pure spite. no one does nice stuff these days, and no one appreciates it. so i keep doing it out of spite, to show that i won't become a jerk. is doing something nice out of spite going to change the world? no. am i going to keep doing it? yes. do i know it's dumb? YES!

attention chubby gals- i found a comfortable pair of jeans that fit properly and look 1/2 way decent!!! lane bryant has some new system called "right fit" and some chick wrote about it better then i could (click here). it's a whole new size system that takes into account your body shape. i got measured in the store and the jeans she gave me looked too small, but they fit absolutely perfect! so now, this coming friday i will pay $5 to cure cancer in some kickass jeans. cancer is gonna be pissed!!!!

dear summer- you are over. so take your warm tempuratures and high dew point and go to hell. or some tropical beach. whatever. just take a hike and give me a cold, crisp fall.... thanks a bunch!

ok, time to sort a bag of trail mix for after lunch dessert!

p.s. thanks to pixiechick for the awesome tinkerbell balloon pics. (this tinkerbell has got a decent sized rack!)

  1. Why is it the 1st thing to come in mind is to stick a pin in those balloon dolls and pop em? Evil I guess....

  4. No It's gong to hell in a candy bowl.

Jennifer, this is a classic. It totally happens. I used to keep a chocolate bowl in my office, and I would put maybe a big bag of Hershey kisses in a week. Then the word got out, and when I filled it with Ghiradelli squares 4 pm one day, which were ALL GONE the next morning at 7:30, I just left it empty. I wasn't mad, it just was too much to deal with people complaining about what, how much, and when like it was a company paid perk or soemthin! Sheesh!
