the results are in!!!!

here are the final results for the quiz. thanks to groundcat for creating the quiz! it was fun to see everyone's scores and the questions they missed. my own mother scored suprisingly low. ha ha ha!!! i think the presidential voting question screwed most people up, so thanks to the reverend for that!

in other news, our long weekend "vacation" is over and dan & i are both back to work. we stayed in town and did stuff around the house. i have a desk set up in the back room now and bought some marigolds & tomatoes to try and plant somewhere the deer won't eat them.

we went to the james garfield home for a tour (which was really interesting!) the strange part was going into the gift shop and finding pics of the barn for sale, including a bookmark with our address right on it! i am sure groundcat is used to the barn hub-bub by now (it was painted in 2002), but for me it's so strange and interesting.

we also saw daniel johnston at the grog shop. we had to sit through 2 opening acts and ended up standing for what felt like about 2 hours, all to see johnston play for about 25 minutes. we knew to expect this as well as johnston being out of it, confused, crying, or any manner of "freak out". i think some people were there just hoping to see that happen. but he came out and did a few songs by himself (he was so nervous but warmed up by the 2nd song.) then one of the opening bands came out and played with him. he seemed to light up and was so excited to sing with the band. they did different versions of his songs, but he followed right along and really seemed to be having a blast. it was only 25 minutes but totally worth the wait and lovely to see.

so it's back to work (a lot of weirdness going on, will blog about that at a later date.) i will also upload some pics of my updated wrist tattoo. it turned out great! btw- getting as tattoo really hurts! there's my genius tip for the day.
