another random blabber blog.....

i wanted to comment on arby's. whenever i think of arby's, i think of david puddy. on our last day of vacation, we stopped at arby's for jalepeno poppers. for 2 people with weak stomachs and IBS, not the best idea. the poppers are actually pretty good, but the sauce they come with is grotesque! it's some kind of vile berry sauce, and it's quite possibly the worst thing i've ever eaten from a fast food restaurant.

speaking of that, what's everyone's favorite fast food restaurant and order? mine is definetly mcdonald's and i love the double cheeseburger (no pickles or onions) and the filet-o-fish.

more work huck-a-buck: got an email from the head honcho/ project manager that included a calendar and stated, "as you can see, there is a lot of activity around both the thanksgiving and christmas holiday's." um, ok.....sounds like some great planning on his part! i really don't mind working extra hours. i want to do a good job, but i also want time with friends and family and to enjoy the holidays. update: we're being asked to 'volunteer' to work the friday and saturday after thanksgiving as well as working christmas eve. wow......

check out recent blog updates from my sister, lisa ann and stacy. i boss! of course my mom has become a blog slacker.....

finally, here's an update on our family dentist. the story is just so sad and i am not even mad at him for hitting me in 1976. sorry mom, i won't mention it again.

  1. those poppers are disgusting! i only ate them after i took the jalapeño out. the deep-fried breading was pretty good. i would recommend that; without the jalapeño or dipping sauce. i'm going to try to order that next time I'm at Arby's. btw, did you know that most people mistakenly think that Arby's stands for R.B.s? RoastBeefs? It actually is the initals for the Raffel Brothers; Forrest and Leroy Raffel. The Raffel brothers opened their first restaurant in Boardman, Ohio (located just outside of Youngstown) on July 23, 1964. They originally wanted to call it "Big Tex", but that was already in use. I think "Forrest and Leroy's" would have been a cooler name.

"Yo, you wanna grab a bite at Forrest and Leroy's later?"

  3. so basically you liked the deep-fried breading? i think there should be a restaurant that only deep-fries and breads everything!

one of the best and weirdest things i've ever had was a deep fried dill pickle. yum!

p.s. thanks to wiki, you're very knowledgeable about arby's. i'm gonna start calling you "puddy"! high five!!!! maybe we'll get you a magic 8-ball jacket too....

  5. I have no favorite fast food place or order. Why? Fast food restaurants are generally hostile to vegetarians. So screw fast food.

Also, what is special about the Edmonton Arby's? Most likely, is the Alberta beef. These Albertans love them some steak. It's all beef all the time up here. But oddly, and thankfully, almost every restaurant has a veggie burger - something that Ohio definitely does not boast!

Also, tell us the tale of the dentist & what happened to him. The link didn't work when I tried to read the story.
